LeBron James-Rich Paul Las Vegas rumors are flying around

The The Los Angeles Lakers have been up and down recently lost a home game to the orlando magic on tuesday night. Some have gone so far as to suggest the Lakers would be better off he’s moving on from LeBron James this summerand the possibility of him joining a new team becomes a real possibility.
Of course, James’ retirement doesn’t appear to be far off either, and recently Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report reported on a big plan that the star may have as for NBA expansion.
“…there are rumors around the league that he will be the face of an NBA expansion team in Las Vegas,” Pincus reported.
Apparently, the plan also involves James’ longtime friend Rich Paul.
“One thought is that he could retire and his agent, Rich Paul of Clutch Sports, could sell the rest of his agency to UTA (United Talent Agency). With financial backing, they could then step into ownership roles,” Pincus reported.
NBA expansion rumors have been circulating for some time, with Las Vegas listed among the top contenders, along with Seattle, formerly home to the SuperSonics.
Pincus noted that “the league will allow multiple candidates to set locations.”
James has become increasingly prominent in recent years with his business interests off the court. Meanwhile, Paul hasn’t exactly been a favorite among Lakers fans this year, after publicly suggesting the team move on from Austin Reaves via trade.
However, his potential teaming up with James on an expansion team in Las Vegas would come long after James’ Lakers days, as well as the NBA days as a whole, are over.
For now, the Lakers will focus on trying to get back into the win column Thursday when they host the Phoenix Suns.
