Furious Darko Rajaković goes nuclear after the non-call against Spurs

The game quickly became intense in the first half, as The Toronto Raptors hosted the San Antonio Spurs at Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday.

After stalling in the second quarter, the Raptors ran to the other end to try to get to the bucket quickly. The ball fell to Brandon Ingram, who attempted a 3-pointer from the top of the key. Stephon Castle, who was late to get back on defense, contested Ingram’s shot.

Although Castle appeared to hit Ingram’s arm, no foul was called.

This infuriated the Toronto coach Darko Rajakovićas shown in a video shared by Raptors reporter Omer Osman. Rajaković was whistled for a technical error.

The 47-year-old Rajakovic was completely angry with the referees, but perhaps he was simply lighting a fire under his players.

It appeared to work, as the Raptors built a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter.

Rajaković very quickly endeared himself to the fans with its intensive approach on the field. But on top of that, he can be pretty stupid, as evidenced by his habit of running into the locker room while yelling.

Rajaković energy aura was praised by his players, including Ingram.

“He brings energy every day. He’s the leader of our team. He makes sure we bring it to practices, games, scrimmages. He makes sure we have it every time we step on the basketball floor,” Ingram said in a report by John Chidley-Hill of The Canadian Press in November.

The Raptors are looking to bounce back from Tuesday’s loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
