The Warriors are making sure in Memphis

Despite the absence of the injured Stephen Curry and Kristaps Porzingis, as well as the rested Draymond Green and D’Anthony Melton, the Warriors start the match in earnest. The duo of Will Richard (21 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, 3 steals) – Brandin Podziemski (19 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists) gives them control of operations, and they need a 3-pointer at the buzzer from GG Jackson (24 points, 8 rebounds) to save Memphis in ambush (34-31).
Golden State, however, is not doing the Grizzlies any favors. Behind the skill of Moses Moody (14 points), Al Horford (10 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists) and Quinten Post (12 points, 8 rebounds), as well as rigorous defense, they added 29-8 to their opponents and returned to the locker room at +21 (74-53).
Ty Jerome (22 points) allows Memphis to get back to -12, but Guy Santos (17 points) sparks the Warriors. They ended the third quarter with a 16-2 lead and a 24-length lead (96-72). Gary Payton II (19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals) scores a point in the last quarter, and Golden State returns to victory.
WHAT TO REMEMBER
The Warriors collective shines. Despite the many absences, Steve Kerr could count on the other nine players to be fit on the night. Each of them scored at least 9 points. Three players shared fewer than 6 assists, and Golden State finished with 37 points, days after surpassing the 40 mark against Denver. They also found their external address (41%), after the previous day’s shortage at Pelikan’s court (25%).
29-8 that made the difference. After an even start, the Warriors outscored their opponents 29-8 in the second quarter and took control of the match. During this second period, they went 8/15 on 3-pointers with six players making at least one game-winning shot.
Ryan Rupert continues to appear. Two days after a solid performance for the first game in a Grizzly jersey (10 points, 9 rebounds, 3 steals in 26 minutes), the French winger did it again last night. He played 24 minutes and finished the game with 8 points and 3 rebounds. Rupert should continue to get his chance until the end of the season to try to stay in the NBA next season.
