Reconstructed Los Angeles Clippers (27-30) wave host Minnesota Timberwolves (36-23) on Thursday night for a prime-time Western Conference clash at the Intuit Dome. The Clippers are on a two-game skid after losing to the Los Angeles Lakers and Orlando Magic and have several names on the injured list.

Kawhi Leonard it says in the title because he was listed as questionable due to left ankle pain, per official report. The same goes for John Collins, who has a neck problem, while Darius Garland and Bradley Beal were both ruled out.

Kawhi Leonard is a game-time decision despite scoring a whopping 37 points last time out against Orlando while playing through injury. However, with the Clippers sitting precariously in the 10th and final seed in the West, the stakes are incredibly high.

Edwards has been on a complete tear since winning All-Star Game MVP, averaging 34 points over his last three contests, including a 34-point masterclass in a 124-121 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday. The Clippers desperately need a talisman of their own to come good.

The Timberwolves boast the third-highest points in the NBA with 119.6 points per game, led by Edwards (29.6 PPG). On February 8, a healthy Leonard systematically blasted the Timberwolves for 41 points in a 115-96 rout.

Regardless, Minnesota is fully healthy for this game, with the only absences due to G League assignments. So, a lot depends on whether Kawhi is the right fit. The Timberwolves will be looking for revenge either way, but Leonard’s presence will likely play a major role in deciding the tie.
