The Titans must make the next trade after reuniting Robert Saleh with Jermaine Johnson

The Tennessee Titans recently shook things up by trading T’Vondre Sweat to the New York Jets in a trade Jermaine Johnson rushes for the pass. The move reunites Johnson with former New York coach Robert Salehwho was named Tennessee’s new front man earlier this offseason.
Now that the Titans are occupied renew their list Heading into Saleh’s first season at the helm, there are still some areas on the roster that should explore adjustment, and one player they should consider making an offer for is backup quarterback Will Lewis.
Lewis didn’t exactly play up to par during his time as the starting quarterback in Tennessee, eventually losing that job to Cam Ward, who was the franchise’s No. 1 overall pick last year and showed some flashes during his rookie season.
Lewis has proven to be prone to making poor decisions at times during his time in center Tennessee, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still teams that could take a chance on him at the right price. After all, it wasn’t that long ago that Lewis had NFL scouts salivating for his combination of athleticism and arm talent coming out of Kentucky, which had many projecting him as one of the best quarterbacks in his class.
Look no further than Super Bowl-winning Seattle Seahawks star Sam Darnold for an example of a quarterback whose career got off to a rough start before a change in circumstances eventually allowed him to show off his best abilities.
There are several teams that have tough quarterback situations right now and might be willing to take a look at Lewis. While the Titans shouldn’t expect to receive a treasure trove of assets in return for him, now that Ward is the franchise quarterback going forward, they might be better off seeing what they can get for Lewis and signing a veteran to fill the backup QB position.
