The new Nike Kobe 3 sneakers are inspired by the Forum

Few buildings in the world have become as iconic as the original Fabulous Forum, now known as the Kia Forum or just “The Forum”, which has hosted countless legends over the years. It attracts stars from all over Los Angeles and hosts Los Angeles Lakersfans were always at the show whenever they attended the Forum. Nike will post a new one Kobe 3 sneakers that pay homage to magical moments and the unmistakable vibe of a place.

The Forum opened in 1967 in Inglewood, California as an architectural marvel at the time and immediately became one of the most recognizable indoor venues in the world. The arena housed the Los Angeles Lakers during the “Showtime Lakers” era, along with the Los Angeles Kings and Wayne Gretzky who graced the ice.

The Lakers notably moved to Staples Center in 1999, but not before Kobe Bryant he was able to play his first three seasons (1996, 1997, 1998) on the same floor that legends like Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar graced during their iconic careers. In honor of that early ‘Mamba magic’, this pair was inspired by the lights that illuminated the Forum during its heyday.

Nike Kobe 3 Hunt “Mamba Magic”

Donned on the updated Nike Kobe 3 Hunt silhouette, color is identified as Doll/pink foam/white to mimic the bright pink lights around the Forum. We see lavender purple along the rubber mesh upper, which appears slightly transparent to match the lighter shade along the sole. A black stripe along the midsole runs into the back heel panel, matching the black sockliner.

While the look is still limited, we see chrome Nike branding throughout, as well as on the Mamba tongue logo. The laces and tongue are finished with white mesh to provide added contrast, completing the overall palette for this interesting colorway.

We’re still awaiting word on an official release date, but the Nike Kobe 3 Low “Mamba Magic” is expected to drop sometime during the Spring 2026 season. Expect an online release via Nike SNKRS along with more selective stock at partner Nike locations.
