What is Jamal Murray’s injury status with the Thunder?
The Denver Nuggets travel to Paicom Center to face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday, to get into the game with a win over the Boston Celtics. The Thunder lost to Cade Cunningham’s Detroit Pistons last time out, but they’re on their own looking forward to the return of talisman Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
The same cannot be fully said about Jamal Murraywhich is listed as suspicious on official injury report. Murray is dealing with a serious illness that forced him to leave Wednesday’s win over the Boston Celtics early.
And while the Nuggets are short-staffed, so is the defending champion. Despite SGA being taken off the injured list, Jaylen Williams, Thomas Sorber, Branden Carlson and Ajay Mitchell are out.

Jamal Murray’s injury status against the Thunder

The Nuggets hope Murray can fight off the illness. Murray lasted just eight minutes, scoring two points, before being completely shut down for the night.
After the win, Nuggets head coach David Adelman painted a grim picture of his point guard’s health, revealing that the team’s medical staff had aggressively treated him the previous game to no avail. “He looked terrible. They gave him all the medicine. It didn’t help. All kinds of physical things were happening,” Adelman said.
Murray is averaging 25.1 points, 7.4 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game, while shooting a very efficient 48.3% from the field and 42.1% from 3-point range. Further, the Nuggets are already thin.
They will be without Aaron Gordon and Peyton Watson, both sidelined with right hamstring strains, joining the likes of Tamar Bates and Curtis Jones. Meanwhile, Spencer Jones and Jalen Pickett are doubtful, while Julian Strother is likely to play despite a sprained toe.
