Keegan Murray faces several weeks out with an ankle injury

As it is Sacramento Kings coming into their game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday looking to put together a mini-game winning streak, they will be missing on the injury report as forwards Keegan Murray was turned off at least two weeks, according to ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel.
Keegan Murray initially picked up an ankle injury during the Kings’ loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday. He left the game and did not return. In nine minutes of play, he finished with three points, one rebound and one block. He didn’t match up in the Kings’ win against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.
Murray has been an occasional starter for the Kings at both forward positions since he was drafted, but has struggled to stay healthy this season. The No. 4 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Murray has played no fewer than 76 games since his rookie season, but is on pace to fall short of that this year.
He has appeared in just 23 games this season, including 22 starts, for just over 34 minutes per game while dealing with multiple injuries. His 2025-26 debut has been delayed as he recovers from a finger injury. He suffered a shin injury in December. And then the above mentioned the ankle injury actually happened in early januarycausing him to miss 20 consecutive games.
Murray returned for four games before re-injuring the same ankle. He averaged 14.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.6 blocks while shooting 42 percent from the field, 27.7 percent from the 3-point line and 77.6 percent from the free throw line.
As one of the Kings most promising young players, Murray was reportedly one of only two on the listalong with rookie Nikueh Clifford, for whom the Kings will not accept trade offers at the deadline.
