Colin Cowherd has a ‘Hollywood take’ on LeBron James’ relationship with LA

With a huge speculation about the Los Angeles Lakers and superstar LeBron Jamessports analyst Colin Cowherd gives an open view of the relationship between the team and the players. As The Cowherd crushed the Lakers in the past for certain areas it would make an interesting comparison between the franchise situation and the Hollywood business.
There’s no denying that James is in the final stages of his career; whether this season is the last or not, it’s happening sooner rather than later. Cowherd would mention that James is 41 years old, how some statistical categories show his age, and how the star’s original move to Los Angeles was “Hollywood Marriage” and how it ends with a shift in focus to Luka Donฤiฤ.
“LeBron (James) is 41 years old, averaging the fewest minutes of his career, the fewest points per game since his rookie season, and is the second-slowest player in the entire league,” Cowherd said. “LeBron had an impact on the NBA for 21 years. 22 years, everything dried up. Let’s be completely honest about LeBron and the Lakers. It was always a Hollywood marriage, two hot stars. And you know what happens in Hollywood; One of the stars ends up dating someone younger. It’s Luka.”

Still, James is averaging 21.5 points, seven assists and 5.7 rebounds per game while shooting 49.8 percent from the field, and while other seasons in the past have been better, some might argue this year is still impressive given his age. Whatever the case, there’s no question the Lakers have found their next face of the franchise in Doncic, who is leading the league in scoring at 32.7 points per game while averaging 8.6 assists and 7.8 rebounds on 47 percent shooting from the field.
After that, James and Los Angeles are looking to have as much success as possible with a team that is 34-24, which would put them in sixth place in the Western Conference.
