The Air Jordan 3 ‘True Blue’ is officially back soon



After numerous rumors during 2025 Nike Retro Air Jordan The 2026 release calendar is filled with a number of classics making a long-awaited return. Early Air Jordan numbered models continue to experience a resurgence as another Jordan 3 enters the rotation. This time, the “True Blue” colorway returns for the first time since 2016.

The Air Jordan 3 published in 1988 as Michael Jordanis the first sneaker to feature his Jumpman logo. It was the debut sneaker for legendary Nike designer Tinker Hatfieldwhich later took on the Air Jordan numbered series. In the vast catalog, the Air Jordan 3 always stands out as the original that sparked the creative vision.

Among classics like “Black Cement” and “White cement” pairs, the “True Blue” colorway is a staple pair for the legacy of the Jordan 3. For the first time since 2016, fans will have the opportunity to grab an updated version of the popular colorway.

Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” (2026)

The Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” will return true to the OG version from 1988, with a similar silhouette shape and classic Nike Air branding on the rear heel. The colorway comes in a typical white/cement gray-straight blue scheme, along with the iconic elephant print along the fenders, back heel panel and lugs. Hits of red are seen throughout for the perfect contrast and balance against the white leather base.

Nike will take it a step further by bringing back the classic Air Jordan face boxes that were in circulation from 2001 to 2005 and give this release an extra nostalgic touch.

The Air Jordan 3 OG “True Blue” is expected to release on July 18th, 2026 for a standard retail tag of $220. Coming to Nike SNKRS app, we can expect a full size family with custom pricing as supplies should be plenty for the sneaker’s first retro release in 10 years.
