Watch Kevin Durant, Tyler Herro exchange words in a heated moment

When Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets flew to South Beach for the afternoon showdown against Miami Heatfans knew he was going to be on the show.
Sure, the Heat are in the middle of the Eastern Conference bracket, sitting in the eighth seed at 31-29, but Erik Spoelstra’s teams are always on the outside, especially at home, where they hold a 17-11 record so far in 2025-26. With the Rockets fighting tooth and nail to hold on to the third seed in a very tough Western Conference, securing a win in Miami seemed crucial as the season wound down.
And not surprisingly, when the rubber hits the hardwood, it consciousness has boiled over into the territory of technical errorwith Tyler Herro and Durant both stand up after having to be separated after a war of words on the court.

While players never want to draw technical fouls, especially during a timeout, his interaction with Herr was nothing more than a minor roadblock to KD doing KD things, with future Hall of Famer leads all scorers with 14 points in just 19 minutes while keeping the best plus-minus of any player in the game at +17. Durant’s Rockets outscored the Heat 24-19 in the second quarter and went into halftime with a one-point lead at 52-51.
Will the Rockets pull out a win in Miami? Only time will tell, but with 24 minutes left to play at press time, things have the potential to heat up even more in South Beach before the final buzzer.
