Watch Draymond Green go general during the Lakers matchup

The The Golden State Warriors have a tall order against the Los Angeles Lakers at home at the Chase Center despite the fact that LA has lost three straight games. That’s because the Warriors have been resilient of late, winning two of their last three, and are still without their biggest names.

And as much has been true in the past, it is Draymond Green once again who leads Golden State from the front despite adversity. Green was inside general mode of full floor during the first half of the matchup against the Warriors, according to tape released by the NBA on ESPN on X.

A green microphone with a microphone can be seen at first as it wants Luka Donฤiฤ‡, who turned 27 on February 28, happy birthday, before sending Gary Payton II to guard Austin Reaves with 9:58 left in the second quarter.

“Get this in there, don’t change it. Just don’t let him get a direct pass here,” he was heard telling Payton, who immediately went to Reaves.
Green was then seen giving a strong speech on the Warriors bench, asking them to play better defense as the Lakers started the game well. They finished with a 33-20 run in the first quarter, extending their lead to 65-47 at the end of the second.

Payton came off the bench and scored 10 in the first half, and De’Anthony Melton scored eight for Golden State. LeBron James already had a record 20 points in the first half, and Austin Reeves and Luka Doncic added 13 and 10 points, respectively.

The Lakers look to be on their way to their first win in four games, and their Big Three is threatening to take them over. The Warriors are without Jimmy Butler, Stephen Curry and Kristaps Porzingis, among others.
