LeBron James reveals how being a baby girl’s dad ‘softened’ me

Things change quickly in the NBA. The Los Angeles Lakers was celebrating a 129-101 victory over the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center, with LeBron James leads the show with 20 points in the first half.
Luka Dončić, who celebrated his 27th birthday on February 28top with 26 points, while Austin Reaves had 18 to round out a comfortable win in the absence of Stephen Curry, among others. However, at least a similar amount of attention went to LeBron’s 11-year-old daughter, Jury James, who had a touching shootout with her dad before the game.
“It’s special, it’s special, it’s definitely softened me over the last 11 years. I had two boys to start with, but it’s special to have her. It’s a different kind of girl-guy love. It’s a tough love when it comes to my boys. I yell at them and whatever, you know they take it, they know it, I’m a little different daughter,” James said on the clip on X by BronMuse, talking about the influence his daughter had on him.

In the session, Zhuri copied her father’s dribbling drills and successfully put in a trick from the free-throw line backwards from the free-throw line after a few tries and a bit of coaching from the 41-year-old. The interaction culminated in Zhuri throwing an alley-oop to the 41-year-old James for a pregame shot, followed by their signature handshake and an “I love you” exchange before tip-off, per Seattlepi.
“I don’t know. I tried to make sure I was in front of the basket,” Jury said when asked how she ended up making the basket.
Regardless, fans will be glad LeBron isn’t going soft on the court because he probably would have had a better answer to questions about his own shooting, considering he went 7-13 on the night, which contributed well to the Lakers’ 53.3 percent overall efficiency. They also shot a whopping 46.1% from three-point range, compared to the Warriors’ overall efficiency of 45.1% and 27.3% from beyond the arc.
For the Warriors, Guy Santos led the way with 14 points, while Moses Moody and Gary Payton II each added 12, the latter coming off the bench. The Lakers ended their three-game losing streak and will now play against the Sacramento Kings.
