The Gators made program history in a loss at Arkansas


Florida basketball three days ago he overcame his fear of Texas. No. 22 Arkansas arrived ready to surrender the Gators in this Southeastern Conference showdown. But instead Todd Golden and the company is making program history on Saturday.

All after Florida beat the Razorbacks by 34 points in Gainesville.

Florida finally saw seven different players surpass the 10-point mark. It is just the second time in SEC basketball history that a team has achieved that mark against a national opponent.

Thomas Ha scored a record 22 points for Florida. Center Rueben Chinello scored 12 points and pulled down 16 rebounds for a double-double. Forward Alex Condon dropped 17 points and grabbed six rebounds. Urban Klavzar and guard Boogie Fland each scored 14 points. Sophomore guard Xavien Lee scored 13, while Isaiah Brown (11 points) was the last to reach double figures.

Florida smothered Arkansas by shooting 56.5% from the field, including 42.1% shooting from beyond the arc. The Gators’ size overwhelmed the visitors as well, posting a total of five blocks on the defensive end.
