Josh Hart’s game plan after his shooting abandoned him against the Spurs

The New York Knicks ended the San Antonio Spurs’ 11-game winning streak at Madison Square Garden on Sunday with a convincing 114-89 victory.
The Knicks built on their strong streak in the second quarter, giving them enough of a cushion to hold off the Spurs and improve to 39-22, including 23-8 at home.
Despite the impressive win, Josh Hart was not satisfied with his performance. He finished with 10 points on 4-of-14 shooting, including 1-of-6 from long range. He added 10 rebounds and seven assists.
In a video posted by SNI, Hart admitted that he needs to do better, while also looking a different approach.
“I didn’t do a damn thing, so I’ve got to do something else. That’s all I’m thinking about. For me, it’s just trying to be effective. I think the frustrating thing for me, obviously, being down is that my confidence comes and goes,” Hart said.
“I’m putting in the work and I’ve got to make sure I’m playing my game, shooting with confidence, things like that. If you can’t hit the barn, you’ve got to do something different.”
“I don’t make a damn thing, so I have to do something else… you can’t hit the side of the barn, you have to do something different”

The do-it-all winger is shooting 48.4% from the field, including 38.5% from three-point range this season.
Although he is better known for his intangible contributions, the 30-year-old Hart knows he needs to contribute to the offense as well as to help lighten the load on Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns.
Hart has been a key player for the Knicks, and the team can’t afford to struggle with his accuracy. He shot just 12 of 36 in the last three games.
