Charles Barkley asks Anthony Edwards before the game if he’s ‘going to bed’
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has grown by leaps and bounds as the leader of his team. In fact, he’s no longer fazed by the fact that he’s drawing double teams like he did Sunday night in a 117-108 win over the Denver Nuggets. Now he has it close to his heart that substance is more important than style when it comes to winning in the toughest basketball league on the planet.
Speaking of having more substance than style, the Timberwolves star definitely didn’t mind what he wore at the Ball Arena before the start of their clash against the Nuggets. He prioritized comfort over aesthetics, walking to the arena in a hoodie, jogging pants and sunglasses while listening to music using wired headphones.
This led to a hilarious remark from Charles Barkley on ESPN’s Inside the NBA, ace he questioned was the Timberwolves star ready to take on a division rival, or was he getting ready for a slumber party.
“This guy’s going to bed?” observed Barclay.

Perhaps the Nuggets thought the same, as Edwards put them to sleep with his flawless decision-making against double teams in a nine-point win over the home team.
The Timberwolves play the best against the best

What makes the Timberwolves such a tough team to deal with is that they can compete with anyone, raising their levels whenever necessary. The problem, however, is that they tend to diminish themselves at the expense of the opposition. Either way, the Timberwolves took care of business against the Nuggets and are now 38-23 on the season, good for fourth in the current West standings.
If the season ended today, the Timberwolves would face the Nuggets in the postseason. They I definitely have the recipe to slow down Jokic and the Nuggets, so it should be an exciting matchup if this holds.
