Houston Rapper Hits Kevin Durant With ‘Robin’ Never ‘Batman’

Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant is undisputed future first-ballot Hall of Famer and is certainly in the conversation as to who is the greatest scorer to ever play in the NBA. Durant’s legacy is certain; he has two championships to his name, won two Finals MVPs, and was the MVP of the regular season back in 2014.

However, the scrutiny Durant is conducting is understandable. He sacrificed a couple of back-to-back points to join the Golden State Warriors (where he eventually won a title) and still hasn’t gotten over the hump as the undisputed best player on the team. He came close to the Oklahoma City Thunder a few times, but pulled the plug just as OKC was peaking with Durant-Russell Westbrook duo.

Now, many are convinced that Durant just couldn’t hack it as “the guy” — with Houston rapper Killa Killeon guesting on the Perk Unplugged segment of the Road Trippin’ Show saying the Rockets are the star makes out as “Robin” rather than “Batman” in the team that fights.

“I’m going to say this, and I’m going to look at the camera and say this. Easy money, I’m rocking with you my boy, but you’re the best Robin to ever pick up a basketball. You’re not Batman. He’s not Batman,” Kyla Kyleon said.

“He’s good for scoring goals, no question. He can pick up that son of a bitch and deliver, but when you need that team leadership and when you need that core where you need Batman to be, he’s not going to be Bruce Wayne.”

No one can ever dispute Durant’s greatness. But some feel like he cheated the game by joining the Warriors, and he continued to lose at each subsequent stop. He could only make it to the second round with the Brooklyn Nets. His career with the Phoenix Suns ended unhappily. And with the Rockets, he’s still not the “Batman” the team needs, the rapper says.

“I’ll tell you this, he’s Nightwing. Nightwing was the best fucking version of Robin that ever existed. He was finally a Batman-caliber super hero, but he always lived in the shadows. Everywhere he went, he was never a bus driver,” Kyla Kyleon added.
