Frustration returns to Milwaukee

With several reinforcements in the first period, c Bucks did the job of giving themselves a nearly fifteen point lead at the break in Chicago. As the Bulls went on an 11-game losing streak, the rest of the night seemed quiet for Doc Rivers’ troops. But it will be quite the opposite.

Milwaukee football players lose too many balls, no longer hit 3-pointers and their opponent uses the opportunity to score 27-0 in almost eight minutes, between the end of the third and the middle of the last quarter!

“It’s weird. 27-0 is very rare. Really. It’s crazy. Basically, we have to take our hats off to them.”, comments by Cam Thomasamazed by this sequence. “I don’t have much to say, I’m still stunned. Really, I don’t know what to say, sorry. I remain confused.”

Doc Rivers breaks things down like this: When his team was down 10 points, “The players felt the pressure of losing this match”. Is this really how we can read this black hole? “I didn’t even realize this streak. When I got into the last quarter, the guy on the sideline told me it was 25-0, we didn’t score in the quarter. I didn’t even know.”says Bobby Portis.

The delay that occurs for “switching on”

The problem is that this setback, the second in a row, comes at the same time as Atlanta and Charlotte, the teams that are ahead of Milwaukee in the standings and will participate in the “play-in” if nothing changes within a few weeks, are on a four-game winning streak. Consequently, Doc Rivers’ men are now three wins behind the Hornets, currently in tenth place in the Eastern Conference.

It’s not an insurmountable gap, but it’s starting to become significant with about twenty games left. Milwaukee’s next five games are in Wisconsin, starting Monday night against Boston, so that’s an important milestone looming to give us hope.

“Honestly, it’s very frustrating, especially at this time of the season, now that the playoffs are coming up. We’re trying to make the playoffs or the playoffs, so the loss is very disappointing.” sorry bobby portis, after this terrible setback. “We’ve been ahead a few times, so it’s very frustrating. I’d like to win. The good thing is that we have a match ahead of us and we don’t have to wait two days to play again.”
