Fans appreciate Jared Vanderbilt for easing the tense scene

The The Los Angeles Lakers had a big win against the Golden State Warriors a few days ago, but it wasn’t pretty the entire game. There was a moment when Luka Doncic left the game, as he was escorted to the bench, JJ Redick held his wrist in an attempt to talk to him.

Doncic didn’t seem to want to talk and moved his wrist away from Redik. The selector followed Dončić until he reached his place, and both exchanged words. Redik got the last word, and as he walked away, Dončić got up as if he wanted to follow him. At the same time, Jarred Vanderbilt stood by Doncic so he wouldn’t chase Redick, and the fans appreciate him for doing that.

“Call Jarred Vanderbilt,” one user said wrote on Ksformerly Twitter.

“Vanderbilt’s ability to clearly try and diffuse while optically making it look like he’s cheering is incredible. A+ teammate,” another user wrote.

“Extend Wand. And put him in tight games against good teams for defensive purposes in the 4th quarter. Thanks,” another user wrote.

“Support for that guy who stands up and stops Luke from escalating further,” a wrote a fourth user.

Vanderbilt got a lot of props for standing up to prevent Doncic from doing everything he planned to do, but that would have caused a lot of unnecessary attention.

It looks like Redick may have held Doncic accountable for something he did, and the Lakers star didn’t like what was said. They are probably over it now and can focus on the rest of the season as they try to get back on track.

The good news is that it is The Lakers have won their last two gamesbut they have some tough games coming up on their schedule.
