Bill Simmons predicts when Jayson Tatum will return

The Boston Celtics are underway this season, and many people think they can get even better soon. This is because there is a feeling that Jayson Tatum could return at some point from his Achilles injury, and some speculate it could be in the coming weeks.
For Bill Simmons, he thinks it will be in the next few games.
“Tatum, I feel like it’s going to be Friday against Dallas. All signs point to Friday. I was wondering if it was going to be this weekend, but by Friday, I don’t think it’s going to be this weekend,” Simmons said on his podcast.

Just a few days ago, latest update on Tatum is that he was involved in a 5-on-5 scrimmage, according to ESPN’s Shams Charani.
“Jayson Tatum was a complete hit in the 5-on-5 matchups with the Celtics,” Charania said. “At this point, it’s about him continuing to put in the time, continuing to build his fitness and that comes through a lot of practice and scrimmages. And there are two elements at play. One is building strength in both calves after the Achilles injury, and the big hurdle in all of that is getting 100 percent on the side, when his leg is completely on his back.”
Tatum noted that he doesn’t want to get back on the court until he really feels like himself. No one but Tatum will know, and as of now, he might be close to that feeling, especially since he’s struggling.
The Celtics will add Tatum to what they’re already doing this season, and the hope is that he’ll fit in seamlessly. Simmons will definitely be on people’s minds if Tatum returns at the end of the week.
