Even though it’s hot they are still in dispute for play-off or play-in birth, Dan Le Batard is ready to talk surrounding Erik Spoelstra. Spoelstra is currently the longest tenured coach in the NBA Miami Heat from the 2008-2009 season. His tenure has come with tremendous success: two championships with the Big Three Miami Heat and six trips to the NBA Finals, including the 2019-2020 and 2022-2023 seasons.
He latest edition The Dan Le Batard Showcrew had a conversation about why the Miami Heat are stuck at the bottom of the conference. While Le Batard did not suggest that Spolestra should be fired, he argued that the market will have to determine if there is a better hire who could do better than what Spolestra did.
“So unless you’re going to show me the future pop there. Unless you have something where people are looking and saying, it’s available. Oh, is Brad Stevens available, can we get him … and then all of a sudden you can turn it around. There’s never been this kind of stability in the history of South Florida sports, and I really think that Z-Juuno is comfortable with everybody and everybody’s comfortable here saying, yeah, sp probably made a mistake. Nobody’s saying Spo should be fired.
The Heat are currently 32-29, lead the Southeast Division and are currently 8th in the playoff standings.
