David Adelman gushes over Jamal Murray’s unreal night against the Jazz

The Denver Nuggets had quite a scare against the Utah Jazz at the Delta Center on Monday. Fortunately for them, Jamal Murray put on his superhero cape and lead them to a hard-earned victory, 128-125.

The Nuggets snapped a two-game skid and improved to 38-24, including 22-12 on the road.

Murray looked like a secret member of the Avengers, exploding for 45 points on 13-of-19 shooting, including 8-of-13 from beyond the arc. He also had two rebounds, eight assists and two steals.

His spectacular presentation it is not lost on the Nuggets coach David Adelmanas shown in a video posted by AltitudeTV.

“Jamal was really special. I mean, 45 points on 19 shots,” Adelman said.

It wasn’t the first time Adelman praised Murray. When the prolific guard dropped a record 52 points in December, Adelman was adamant that Murray was “above average,” highlighting the fact that he was vastly underrated by fans.

The 29-year-old Murray is coming off a stellar campaign, including his first All-Star Game honor. His duo with Nikola Jokic remains one of the most lethal in the NBA, and the Nuggets will go as far as that pairing takes them.

Adelman, meanwhile, also praised his players for staying composed despite a tough challenge from the Jazz, who fell to 18-43.

“I don’t know, I guess people today judge wins. I don’t. Wins are wins. Losses are losses. We’d beat OKC (Grom) if (Alex) Caruso missed that three, we lose tonight, what’s the difference? We’re just trying to win, get ourselves to a good place in the pros, just hang in there, guys. Adelman noted.

The Nuggets return to action on Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
