Nikola Jokic has Will Hardy crowdsourced after the Keyonte George drive

On Tuesday evening, The Denver Nuggets are back into the winning column by a narrow path beat the Utah Jazz. Nikola Jokic added to the stat line once again in this one, scoring 22 points with 12 rebounds and five assists in the win.

One controversial moment came late in this game when the Jazz were guarding Keionte George was trying to box out Jokic on a free-throw jumper, after which Jokic basically rode on his back, sending both players to the floor, and causing an outcry from the fans in attendance.

After the game, the jazz coach Will Hardy spoke further a difficult challenge keeping Joker in check, especially with smaller players like George.

“There’s been some other teams in the league guarding (Nikola) with little things and it’s about trying to wear him down, make him tough to catch … If you know of good coverage on Jokic, send me an email,” Hardy said, per Oh No, Not on X, formerly Twitter.

Some fans on social media labeled the performance dirty. The irony was the fact that Jokic was involved in another altercation last week against the Oklahoma City Thunder, when Oklahoma City forward Lou Dort attempted a blatant cheap shot by running into Jokic’s legs as he ran down the court, leading to a heated melee between the two teams and Dort being ejected.

Meanwhile, through a series of chaotic games he’s been involved in recently, Jokic is returning to his MVP form after a bit of a slow start as he bounces back from a recent knee injury that sidelined him for a month.

The Nuggets are currently 38-24 on the season. They will next take the floor Thursday night at home against the Los Angeles Lakers.
