Jordan Binnington trades ‘missed conclusion’, according to report
The St Louis Blues are near the bottom of the league as NHL trade deadline approaches. Because of this, they are positioned as sellers, with more than just pending free agents. There was talk of Robert Thomas and Jordan Keir for a long time, but the new name appeared as a close lock. NHL Network’s Brian Lawton he says he is The Blues are looking to trade goaltender Jordan Binnington before the NHL trade deadline.
“The Blues look set to move on from Jordan Binnington. The 16-man squad is out, but a move seems a foregone conclusion at this stage, and where (the Blues) are going in the near future.”
Binnington backed St. Louis to their only Stanley Cup championship in 2019, defeating the Boston Bruins in seven games. He began that season in the ECHL, becoming an overnight star in the Show Me State. After that, Binnington signed a six-year, $6 million AAV contract with the Blues, which expires after next season.
Binnington led Team Canada to the 4 Nations title 2025 and was excellent in the Olympic gold medal game, despite the loss. His numbers with the Blues are terrible, with a .867 save percentage and a 3.60 goals-against average. He proved that with a great team in front of him he can play a good game.
Best suited to Blues goalkeeper Jordan Binnington

An obvious fit for Binnington is the Edmonton Oilers. He was the goalie when Connor McDavid scored the OT winner in the 4 Nations, and he could be the one to finally beat Edmonton over the Stanley Cup. Edmonton tried to solve the problem with goaltender Tristan Jarrywhich has not worked so far.
The other side of Jarry’s trade was the Pittsburgh Penguins, who have been working with Stuart Skinner ever since. Despite some hot and cold goaltending, Pittsburgh remains in the thick of the Metropolitan Division playoff race. With Sidney Crosby expected to return for the postseason, Kyle Dubas could swing at the trade deadline.
The Vegas Golden Knights have also had goaltending issues this year, and Carter Hart hasn’t solved them. With a troubling record against other playoff teams, their position atop the Pacific Division is in jeopardy. The The Carolina Hurricanes found Brandon Busseyso they are not in this conversation, as they would have been in the past.
