New Orleans gets into it with Steven A. Smith after a wild claim

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson has opened up about the challenges of his career, particularly his multiple injuries and criticism of his weight.

Although he is one of the best players in the NBA, Williamson is struggling to stay on the field due to health issues. In an interview with ESPN, he admitted he was deeply frustrated when he sat out his third season with a broken foot and people blamed his weight.

Instead of sympathizing with the 25-year-old star, who is dealing with a sprained ankle, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith called him a “food addict”. He also claimed the Pelicans “encouraged” him to “get on Williamson’s dick” because of his weight.

In response, the Pelicans posted a video of Smith on X popular bloopersadding the caption “Stick to solitaire, Steven.” Bonus points for smooth alliteration.

Of course, Smith he didn’t hide it his anger and threatened the Pelicans.

“Pulling up stuff from a decade ago, two decades, three decades ago? No problem. See you tomorrow on @FirstTake. Remember one thing: YOU ASKED FOR THIS!” wrote the 58-year-old analyst.

The moment when Smith does not react to the stabbing is a moment that will be written about by the world’s most respected historians.

The Pelicans aren’t done, however, posting a GIF Smith’s former partner, Max Xellerman.

Smith has been involved in highly publicized spats on multiple occasions, including one he had with Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James last season. James even confronted Smith during the game, and the latter later called the move “weak.”

Smith has often defended his role as a member of the mediaand it looks like they’ll pull the same card with the Pelicans. No, he can’t use it on solitaire.
