Zach Edey is officially out for the season after ankle surgery



The Memphis Grizzlies they are looking towards the 2026-27 campaign, so on Zach Edey. The sophomore center is official done until the end of this season following ankle surgery on Tuesday, according to ClutchPoints NBA Insider Brett Siegel. He’s expected to make a full recovery, but the organization has apparently declined to take a longer look at him before heading into the offseason.

After an impressive rookie year in which he averaged 9.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in just 21.5 minutes per contest, Edey played in just 11 games and didn’t play at all in 2026.
