Steve Kerr admits Draymond Green is frustrated with the aging reality

Steve Kerr had recognition for share about Draymond Green’s frustrations in the middle Golden State Warriors‘ injuries this season.

The 2025-26 NBA campaign was a tough one for Golden State. Jimmy Butler III suffered a season-ending ACL injury, while Curry is dealing with a knee injury that will keep him out of the next few games. This led to Green carrying more responsibility than he was used to.

Kerr seems very pleased with Green and how he is doing handling his role as he gets olderbut also without Curry and Butler. Green is looking to take on a different role without the team’s stars involved.

“Take away all the threats around him and it becomes really frustrating for him and our team. It really makes things difficult, just in terms of rhythm and flow. He’s done a great job doing the things we ask him to do. He handles the ball less at the top of the key. He screens more and jumps in ball screens. Running the floor and playing corner,” Carey said at 28:34 on the Tom Tolbert Show.

“He’s doing all these things, everything we’re asking. He’s got a great attitude on the bench and in the locker room, but he’s frustrated. All the frustration that comes with getting older and not being able to do the things you could a few years ago. It all feeds into it and he handles it really, really well.”

The Warriors will continue their preparations for their next match, as they are on the road. They face the Houston Rockets with tip-off on March 5th at 7:30pm ET.
