Trading AJ Brown will require a Queenen Williams-style offer

The AJ Browns trade rumors they followed Philadelphia Eagles in the off season. Philadelphia’s star wide receiver has been constantly in the spotlight in 2025 complaining about his role in the offense. If the rumors are true, the Eagles may need a very lucrative trade package to move on from the veteran receiver.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo gave an update on the Browns trade situation ahead of the league’s new year.

“I’ve had some conversations with sources who are aware of what’s going on there,” Garafolo told Good Morning Football on Wednesday. “I understand that teams are making offers to the Eagles for a trade. Up to this point, they haven’t gotten to the point where the Eagles would make a move.”

The Eagles are reportedly looking for a similar trade package what the jets got for queenen williams at the trade deadline.

“In their view, it’s a Quinn Williams-type deal,” Garafolo added. “We’re talking about a potential first-round pick with a second-round sweetener. That’s what it’s like for the Eagles to start thinking about moving AJ Brown.”

Garafolo added that he’s skeptical Philadelphia will move Brown for anything less. Brown remains highly regarded by the Eagles, with GM Howie Roseman and head coach Nick Sirianni repeatedly calling him a great player.

But there are other factors that could make a Brown trade attractive to the Eagles.

Garafolo noted that Brown’s large contract prevents the team from making other moves. He quoted a potential extension Dallas Goedert as one move that could be delayed due to Brown’s contract.

If the Eagles do decide to move Brown, there will be plenty of suitors.

The The Patriots are one team that should be in the mix as wide receiver is one of their biggest needs on offense. Other teams, such as the Saints or Broncos, could also be in play if they are willing to send a receiver back to the Eagles in a trade.

It will be interesting to see if all the hype surrounding a potential Brown trade actually comes to fruition this offseason.
