A band ready to explode in Chicago?
With just 3 wins in their last 16 matches, including a current seven-game losing streak, Bulls are in the middle of a crisis. An exciting start to the season is now history.
Chicago players no longer have an identity and even if Billy Donovan explained that the group liked each other, the defeats began to weigh on morale. THE Chicago Sun-Times confirms that Kobe White is doing what it takes, in the shadows, to keep the locker room from tearing itself apart.
“We are a close-knit group, we have good relationships in this team, but we have to continue to have honest conversations together, to continue to grow.”he says in the back.
Except that it’s not just failures that preoccupy minds in Chicago. There are also everyone’s situations. No fewer than eight players are in the final year of their contracts, so hopefully they’ll shine to get a good check during the 2025 offseason: Kobe White, Nikola Vucevic, Kevin Huerter, Zach Collins, Ayo Dosunmu and Jevon Carter, plus Julian Phillips and Dalen Terry, who are coming off rookie deals.
The season is off to a bad start, can we figure out a way out?
Everyone, deep down, thinks of himself. And if it is quite normal and always so, even during victories, it is even more intensified during defeats…
“I could be wrong, but I don’t think our group is like that”sacks Kobe White. “We will continue to have a mentality where our individual problems count as much as those of the players next to us.”
“In front of these adversities, defeats and other things, your true nature is shown, we see your character”analyzed the coach of the Bulls, more concerned about the defeat and the lack of leadership in his dressing room. “Right now, the only thing that worries me is the end of the contract with certain players. How are we going to handle this? If I were a teammate of these players, I would tell myself that I have that opportunity to make them shine. It’s marked, I’m going to serve it. I’m going to help him with his rebounding, etc. That’s what we have to do.”
With a few days off — five to be exact — at this point, the Bulls will have an important turnaround to manage this weekend, with a matchup against Charlotte on Friday, then New Orleans on Sunday. Two opponents also in difficulty, perfect to restart and finally end this black streak.
