A lip reader hilariously breaks down the Desmond Bane-OG Anunoby incident, alongside the Tony Brothers

recently, Orlando Magic guard Desmond Bain is penalized $35,000 from the NBA for defusing the New York Knicks forward I Anunobi during a recent match between the two teams. It was the second time this year that Bane inexplicably kicked the ball away from an opponent, earning him a technical foul in the process.

Tippernaught Sports recently broke the incident on YouTube by lip-reading the play, also spraying some alleged commentary from the official Tony Brothers in the process.

While we won’t know exactly what was actually said between Bane and Anunoby, the lip reading appears to be fairly accurate based on the video angles of the incident that are available.

In the previous game against the Atlanta Hawks, Bain stripped Atlanta center Onyeka Okongwu of the ball, earning him a ejection from the game. It’s unclear exactly what made Bane do it twice already this season after appearing to be a mild-mannered player for most of his career.

Anyway, Bain bounced back Tuesday night with a great performance against the Miami Heat in the knockout rounds, setting up another matchup with the Knicks on Saturday in Las Vegas. It will certainly be interesting to see what, if any, interaction there is between Bane and Anunoby during that contest. The winner of that game will play the Western Conference champion in the bracket, with $500,000 for each player on the line in the finals.

The Knicks and Magic will play in the NBA Cup game on Saturday at 5:30 PM EST from Las Vegas.
