A young fan asks Jordan Poole a crazy Draymond Green question
Jordan Poole and the New Orleans Pelicanson their day off, they took some time to talk to young fans and ask them about what life is like in the NBA. Poole didn’t even know he would be remembered the biggest turning point in his career on a random Thursday afternoon.
Mladic asked Poole who his favorite teammates were during his time with the Golden State Warriors. Poole shouted Kevon Looneywho is with the Pelicans this season as well, and listed Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins as some of his favorites. There was a notable absence among those Poole mentioned, but the kid, who wasn’t on camera, quickly reminded the Pelicans guards of him.
In a hilarious moment caught on camera, the Pelicans guard he was asked how he felt when a former teammate punched him in the face Draymond Green still in 2022
“It’s tough, bro,” Poole said before the clip was cut, via NBA Centel on X (formerly Twitter).

The trajectory of Poole’s career changed dramatically after Green’s shot, so to call it “difficult” might be an understatement.
Jordan Poole tackles Pelicans, reeling from Draymond Green’s hit

Poole is in the midst of one of the worst years of his career; he’s averaging just under 15 points while shooting under 38 percent from the field this year while coming off the bench for A Pelicans team that is currently dead last in the West with 10 wins.
If Green hadn’t hit Poole, he would certainly still be on the Warriors as a rising star who can take some of the offense away from Stephen Curry. But since that shot, Poole’s career has taken off. He was good last year with the Washington Wizards, but this year was one to forget for someone who in 2022 looked like he had a brighter future than he’s experienced so far.
