Aaron Rodgers pregame warmup video sparks concern over hand injury

On Sunday afternoon, The Pittsburgh Steelers will take the field at home for the match against the 7-1 Indianapolis Colts. The Steelers are looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses to the Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers in the past two weeks.

Aaron Rodgers has played relatively well for Pittsburgh so far this year, but before the game against Indianapolis, the team had a scare during warmups.

In video clip broadcast by CBS, Rodgers could be seen grimacing as he tried to throw the ball before the game began, and former NFL MVP quarterback Matt Ryan pointed out that his arm appeared to be injured.

Later, Rodgers could be seen pointing to his little finger, with Tony Romo also speculating about what the injury might have been.

Moments later, however, Rodgers returned and threw the ball again, albeit not as far, before the match.

So far, the Steelers have not made an official announcement on whether he suffered any injuries and if so, whether it could affect his status for the game against the Colts.

Pittsburgh will certainly have a big challenge on Sunday against a Colts team that has been red-hot to start the year, with quarterback Daniel Jones playing at an MVP level and running back Jonathan Taylor looking like the best player in the league at his position.

As mentioned earlier, Rodgers has played perhaps a little ahead of expectations this year with the Steelers, although any injury at his age, no matter how seemingly minor, could have a major impact on his performance on the field.

Either way, the Colts and Steelers will kick off at 1:00 PM ET from Pittsburgh.
