Aaron Wiggins finds ‘opportunity’ in first losing streak of season
After Oklahoma City The Thunder lost 103-101 to the Toronto RaptorsAaron Wiggins put the loss into perspective the next morning at practice. The sky isn’t falling for a team that’s missing more than half its rotation due to injuries and still holds the NBA’s best record after two consecutive home losses.
Wiggins knows there are over three more months of basketball leftplenty of opportunities for the Thunder to rebound between now and the end of the regular season.
“There’s still 50 games left. So the first aspect is just realizing that you can’t get caught up in the moment or a small sample of games that maybe didn’t work out for you,” Wiggins said. “We’re talking about two losses in a row, but we’re 37-10 right now. In that sense, just realizing we’ve got literally 40-50 games left. So we’ve got a lot of time to get better.
“There’s a lot of opportunity for us to continue to grow and learn from our losses and our wins. And we can’t take last night’s loss with us into tomorrow’s game. So we’ve got to make sure we move on, and just learn what we can and be ready to go.”
Aaron Wiggins and the Thunder haven’t lost two consecutive home games since November 2023.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander reacts to the Thunder’s loss

All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander reacted to the Thunder loss To the Raptors as a game that slipped through the fingers of the defending champions. After a three-point loss to the Pacers, the Thunder’s two-point loss to the Raptors reminded the reigning MVP of the home team, as the margin of error is indeed in a series of tightly contested games.
“Personally, it looked like we had control of the game. We looked good, offensively,” Gilgeous-Alexander said. “They had 103 points tonight. That usually suits us. It was just one of those nights.”
Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder will look to bounce back against the Pelicans when they close out their three-game homestand at the Pacon Center on Tuesday.
