Alisa Liu reveals her relationship status
Alyssa Liu is letting fans in on her love life.
Liu was the center of attention after that securing two Olympic gold medals at the 2026 Winter Olympics. While fans know about her discipline after she briefly retired from figure skating and then made an epic comeback, fans know little about her love life so far.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, she shared was she dating anyone.
“Oh my God, this is, like, the first time I’ve ever talked about this,” she said when asked about her love life last month. “It’s a whole other thing that I don’t feel right now. I already have so much love in my life, and I have so many amazing people, I just haven’t felt the need to look for more or to look elsewhere. I really love myself. And my standards are pretty high, too.”
The slider is already teasing what she might be interested in the following. She shared with E! News this week that she is going tap into her creative side.
“I have work I want to finish,” she told the outlet. “I have creative ideas. I’m really into fashion and I like to express myself in any way I can and share my story and my life experiences. I like to tell stories and I like to hear other stories from other people.”
Liu’s epic return to the ice after taking a short hiatus at 16 and then starting again at 18 — the skater is now 20 — came about because of a change in how she wanted to not only prioritize their careers, but how she wanted it handled. In an interview with 60 Minutes last month, she said she wanted to go back, but that she would just do it if that was her way.
“I get to choose the music for my program. I get to help with the creative process of the program,” she revealed. “If I feel like I’m skating too much, I’ll back off. If I feel like I’m not skating enough, I’ll step it up. Nobody’s going to starve me. Tell me what I can and can’t eat.”
Before Liu’s gold medal, the last woman to win gold for Team USA in figure skating was Sarah Hughes in 2002.
