Alperen Sengun joins the top 10 in NBA history in the Kings’ top ten
The Houston Rockets he made quick work of the hapless Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night. Despite being only 23 years old, Sengun now has the 10th most 10/25/10 center game in NBA history, as pointed out by the Real App account on X (formerly Twitter).
Sengun remains the Rockets’ primary offensive center, and has functioned as the team’s de facto point guard this season due to Fred VanVleet’s injury. There have been rough times for Sengun and the Rockets this season, but this is the Turkish star at his best — a devastating ball shooter in the paint who can make his teammates better by using the attention he attracts to create incredible looks.
All is well for the supposedly struggling Rockets
Although there have been plenty of struggles this season for the Rockets, they are somehow sitting in third place in the Western Conference. It’s a testament to their high performance on a game-by-game basis that they’re still one of the best teams in the conference even amid the ridiculous inconsistencies of the team.
This was the win the Rockets needed — a convincing one that enabled their best players play fewer minutes than usualespecially when they face a tough second-straight game against the Orlando Magic.
