An update on Josh Palmer’s injury could help Josh Allen out of his slump
The The Buffalo Bills are currently preparing for their upcoming home game against the reigning AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs. Beating Patrick Mahomes and company hasn’t been a problem in the regular season for the Bills over the years, but the team’s continued playoff struggles against the Chiefs have reared their ugly heads throughout Josh Allen era
Allen himself has been in a bit of a slump the past few weeks following his NFL MVP campaign in 2024-25. Allen didn’t have to do much in the Bills’ recent win over the Carolina Panthers, instead letting quarterback James Cook do most of the heavy lifting, but the star could still use a “real game” this weekend against Kansas City.
Recently, the Bills have received some positive news regarding injuries when it was discovered wide receiver Josh Palmer was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice after previously missing practice earlier this week, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport of X, formerly of Twitter. Palmer was injured during the Bills’ recent road loss to the Atlanta Falcons, one of several Buffalo players who went down that day.
The fact that he’s back and practicing to some extent could be a good sign for his status against the Chiefs.
A big test for accounts

There’s only so much confidence the Buffalo Bills can take out of a potential win over the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend considering they beat them multiple times in the regular season during the Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes eras, only to lose to them next January.
Still, this weekend’s matchup will be a good opportunity for Buffalo to prove that they aren’t just an opportunistic team that preys on weaker competition, as they’ve been accused of this year given their strength (or lack thereof) of schedule.
Either way, the Bills and Chiefs are scheduled to kick things off on Sunday at 4:25 PM ET from Buffalo.
