Andrew Nembhard just finished the best month of his career

The Pacers recently gave up last place in the East to the Wizards, and Andrew Nembhardt has a lot to do with it. Last night against the Hawksthe Indiana point guard still had 26 points (9/19 shooting including 5/9 from distance), 10 assists and 6 rebounds.
The Pacers thus end the month of January with three wins in four games, and in general with seven successes from the last twelve. And the Canadian with the best month of his career: 18.5 points and 9 assists on average in 13 outings.
Before the start of 2026, Nembhard had 10 career double-doubles, dating back to his debut in 2022. His double-double yesterday was his 5th in the month of January alone. A sign of him taking control of his team’s offensive game, bereft of its playmaker from the last Finals, Tyrese Haliburton.
« Playing point guard, I’m learning to handle it as the season goes on and I think I’m starting to get more comfortable. (…) I haven’t played the first position much since college. It’s about understanding matchup management while remaining aggressive. The team is in better health, somehow we found a complete group. It made me feel more comfortable », he said.
Responsible as ever, the 26-year-old posted his career-best season with 17.6 points and 7.5 assists, along with the best 3-point percentage (36.6%). Which would make him a good candidate for the Breakthrough of the Year trophy if the Pacers get a few more wins.
« i adore. It’s obviously an opportunity for him to grow in this different role. He thinks his rhythm is both aggressive and involving others. On certain passes, he understands the game and knows when to give me the ball. He really took a step forward in officiating games. This can be seen in his passing numbers. », Remark Pascal Siakam.
More comfortable with distribution, Nembhard doesn’t forget to show off his finishing qualities. Since 2026, he has already signed five games with 20 or more points. ” I’ve been feeling good about filming for a while now. I want to keep drawing », warns the Canadian in excellent form.
