Angel Reese, A’ja Wilson star in Stephen Curry’s ‘GOAT’

Angel Reese and A’ja Wilson will add actresses to her already impressive WNBA resumes after that Stephen Curry added them to the cast of his upcoming film, GOAT.

The WNBA stars will make cameos in the animated film GOAT, produced by Curry, according to a social media post on ESPNV.

Reese will be a polar bear in the film named Prop, while the four-time WNBA MVP will play a reptile named Kouiate. Women know how to navigate the basketball court, but also in the studio while leaning towards adventures off the court. In 2025, Reese starred in the thriller House of Dynamite, and Wilson made a cameo in LeBron James-led Space Jam: The New Legacy in 2021

Chicago Sky and Las Vegas Aces stars will be among the stars, including Caleb McLaughlin, actress Gabrielle Union, musicians Jelly Roll and Jennifer Hudson and more.

The film follows a goat — which has double meaning for the acronym “greatest of all time” — named Will (played by McLaughlin) who dreams of being a roarball champion. He has to compete with the strongest athletes for a place on the team.

“There is something inside for every generation,” Curry told USA TODAY in November. “We’re bringing something that’s hopefully inspirational, something that brings a family together and something that uplifts a lot of different people in the audience who can find their best selves through one of the characters.”

Tyree Dillihey, of Bob’s Burgers fame, will direct the film.

“Like a lifelong fan of animation and sportsGOAT is my dream project,” Dillihigh said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “We have a modern take on a classic story in a rich new world where incredible things happen. I could not have asked for a better team of collaborators to help bring this experiential event to life.”

The animated film is released on February 13 during the All-Star Weekend 2026.
