Anthony Davis returns to injury report with calf concern

Dallas The Mavericks are starting to turn their season around and Anthony Davis plays well in recent action. However, Sunday’s injury report provided information that Mavs fans will not be happy to know. Davis is listed on NBA injury report with contusion of the left lower leg and is questionable for Monday night’s game in Utah against the Jazz.
Being listed as doubtful with a calf contusion would not normally be too much of a cause for concern. Davis missed significant time however, at the beginning of the season with a left calf strain. Since his contusion affects the same calf, this specific issue will get attention. The Mavericks certainly hope AD doesn’t have to miss time.
Davis’ dubious status is encouraging. If he were to be ruled out immediately, there would be more room for concern. AD is listed as suspicious suggesting that the injury is not serious. Still, it will be a situation to watch closely.

Mavericks vs. Jazz injury report
Davis is among six Mavs listed on the injury report for Sunday against the Jazz. Daniel Gafford (right ankle injury management) is also questionable, while D’Angelo Russell is ruled out with an illness. Kyrie Irving (left knee surgery), Derek Lively II (right foot injury management) and Dante Exum (right knee surgery) are also out for Monday’s game.
The Mavericks will enter the game at 10-16 overall, good for 10th place in the Western Conference. The Jazz, meanwhile, hold a 9-15 record, which puts them in 11th place in the West.
Tip-off for Monday night’s Mavs-Jazz matchup is set for 9:00 PM EST in Utah.
