Anthony Edwards displays a smooth dagger against the Pelicans



Anthony Edwards makes it look easy. Again. With a little less than four minutes left in the second quarter and Minnesota Timberwolves holding a slim 52-49 lead over New Orleans Pelicansdecided the man they call “Ant”. it was time to change gears.

When going up against Bryce McGowens up top, Edwards didn’t need a complex screen or a frantic series of dribbles. He simply pinpointed his defender, pulled away at a pace that makes pro basketball look like a leisurely Sunday shootout, and buried a 3-pointer that hit nothing but net. He barely broke a sweat as the crowd at Target Center erupted, extending the lead to six and reminding everyone why the face of the franchise.
