Anthony Edwards seals win with last-second floater against Spurs

The Minnesota Timberwolves entered their game against the San Antonio Spurs looking to get back into the win column, and they did in a dramatic way next Anthony Edwards‘ game winner.
The Timberwolves trailed by just one point, 103-102, in the final seconds of the fourth quarter when Anthony Edwards drove into the lane and threw a floater off the glass for what ended up being the game-winner.
After Edwards’ shot, the Spurs had about 16 seconds left on the game clock to convert their own game-winning drive. The Spurs would end up having three chances, shots from Victor Wembanyama, Luke Cornett and finally De’Aaron Fox, but the shots didn’t fall. The Timberwolves are back in the win column after losing their last game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Edwards led the Wolves with a team-high 23 points. He also added two rebounds and three assists in 38 minutes of play. He shot 10 of 21 (47.6 percent) from the field, though he was just 1 of 5 from 3-point range and 2 of 5 from the free throw line. Donte DiVincenzo added 19 points and Julius Randle finished with 15 points.
With the win, the Timberwolves improved to 26-14 and are currently in fourth place in the Western Conference standings.
Edwards led the team throughout the seasonand he is on the right track to his fourth straight All-Star appearance. He appeared in 32 games this season, averaging just over 34 minutes per game. Edwards is averaging a career-high 29.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.4 steals on 50.1 percent shooting from the field, 41.3 percent from the 3-point line and 79.6 percent from the free throw line.
The Wolves now embark on a four-game road trip starting with a game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.
