Are James Harden, Darius Garland playing tonight? Cavs-Clippers injuries

The Cleveland Cavaliers are on their way on Wednesday to Los Angeles Clippers in the third game of their trip to the West Coast. Because the blockbuster trade exchange not finished yet James Harden is on the roster for the Clippers, and Darius Garland will miss his ninth straight game for the Cavs.

Evan Mobley will also be sidelined with a left leg strain for the fourth straight contest, but Cleveland will have new acquisitions Keon Ellis and Dennis Schroeder available to make their debuts.

James Harden, Darius Garland injury status for Cavs vs. Clippers

When it comes to the question of whether James Harden and Darius Garland game tonight in the Cavs vs. Clippers matchup, the answer is no. Until the league makes the trade official, logistically, everyone must be on their previous team’s injury report. Both are obviously out of the question.

Harden missed the last two games for personal reasons; he’s out again on the same basis for LA right now despite going to Cleveland. It already is broke his silence on the trade requesthow he feels about the Cavs and where their franchise is going.

Garland is reportedly slated to make his Clippers debut after the NBA All-Star break as he recovers from a sprained right toe suffered on Jan. 14 in Philadelphia. The latest setback, essentially the same injury on the other foot, is one of the many reasons why The Cavs decided to move on from Garland.

Ellis and Schroder will play for the Cavs for the first time since Trade De’Andre Hunter to the Sacramento Kings. A left calf strain has kept Mobley on the floor since Jan. 26. Cleveland will also be without Max Struss, who has yet to make his season debut in Cleveland, and rookie Emmanuel Miller.

Aside from Bradley Beal and Chris Paul, the Clippers will be without two-way guard Tyai Washington.
