Are Joel Embiid, Paul George playing tonight? 76ers vs. Lakers injury report



The 16-6 Los Angeles Lakers download on Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Monday. The Lakers were in prime form but they have lost two of their last three games and will be looking to get back to winning ways despite being on the road.

The 76ers will know they have their work cut out for them with the offensive firepower the Lakers currently possess. However, their job has taken a turn for the worse recently due to the extent of the injury problems they are currently dealing with.

Joel Embiid, Paul George injury status vs. Lakers

First and foremost, Embiid continues to recover from a knee injury that has plagued him for most of the season. He has missed three of the last five games and is once again in doubt for this game, according to official injury report.

The same goes for Paul George, who is also dealing with a left knee injury. George played the 76ers last game against the Milwaukee Buckswho scored 20 points with five rebounds and assists, and will once again be the focal point of his team against the Lakers.

However, that’s assuming he’ll be fit enough to play despite being listed as questionable on the injury list.

The 76ers also have an injury report in addition to the two aforementioned stars. Kelly Oubre Jr. and Trendon Watford remain out, with Oubre sidelined with a sprained left knee and Watford managing a left adductor strain.

Rookie Jared McCain is available despite his ongoing recovery from right thumb surgery, while Johnny Broom and Hunter Salis are also available to play.

Lakers injury report

The Los Angeles Lakers enter their next matchup with a mixed injury outlook. LeBron James is listed as questionable with sciatica and arthritis in his left foot, making his status uncertain heading into game day.
Marcus Smart remains sidelined with a strained left lower back muscle, leaving the Lakers without one of their key defensive backs.
