Arizona starts Walter Nolen III IR after the Falcons game

The Arizona Cardinals they are coming off a close loss to the atlanta falcons on sunday to fall to 3-12 on the season. It’s been that way all year for the Cardinals. This team is in play for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft if they lose their final two games and get some help.
Injuries have plagued this team. Gareth Williams is feared to have a torn Achilles the hamstring he got in the defeat against Sokol. Walter Nolen III also injured his knee against Atlanta. They both were placed on IR at season’s end. The headlines all season have been Kyler Murray and his missed time, as well as star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who also missed a ton of games.
The Cardinals are bringing in a replacement for Williams by signing cornerback Cullen King from the Carolina Panthers to the practice squad. They also bring in another player to compete with Chad Ryland. Former Los Angeles Rams player Joshua Carty signed from the Rams practice squad. By signing Carty to the active roster, it means Ryland’s time in Arizona could be coming to an end if he doesn’t improve. Carty hasn’t had the best season in LA this season either, so both will be aiming to turn things around in the final two games of the season.
The Cardinals play the Cincinnati Bengals this week, which is a winnable game. However, they take on the Los Angeles Rams on the road in Week 18.
