‘Ask and you shall receive’
Boston Celtics superstar forward Jailen Brown is not surprised by the fine the NBA handed him after he criticized the officials after the game against the San Antonio Spurs at the TD Garden in Boston last Saturday.
Brown, who was fined $35,000 for his comments, took to what he saw as an inconsistent trial and even said he would “take the punishment at this point.”
On Wednesday, the four-time NBA All-Star talked about the financial consequences his tirades.
“Ask, and ye shall receive. . . . Something had to be said. As a team, we get to the free throw line the least in the league. We’re just protecting our guys and ourselves,” Brown said, via the Celtics on CLNS.
