Austin Reaves, Adou Thiero ruled out for Cavs showdown
The Los Angeles Lakers were bumped into Wednesday’s game with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Guard Austin Reaves and forward Adou Thiero are out to playaccording to Clutchpoints reporter Brett Siegel. It’s Los Angeles with a win on Monday against the Chicago Bulls.
Reaves is dealing with a calf strain and has missed significant time. He has been out of the squad since December. He is averaging more than 26 points per game this season for the Lakers.
Thiero has a sprained right MCL. He averages just over one point and one rebound a contest. The big man has appeared in 15 games this season, but is averaging just under six minutes per game.
The Lakers are 28-17 on the season, with back-to-back wins.
The Lakers are trying to gain momentum

Los Angeles has one of the hottest basketball players this season in star Luka Doncic. Doncic scored 46 points and added 12 assists in a 129-118 victory on Monday in Chicago. He’s averaging close to 34 points per game and is making up for the injured Reaves.
Doncic feels it clicks in good time.
“I think we just stay together, everybody just stays together,” Doncic said in his postgame presser on Monday. “Everyone there is just having fun.”
Los Angeles has just five wins in its last 10 games. However, the Lakers have had impressive performances in the last two contests. Those were victories over Chicago and the Dallas Mavericks.
Lakers fans hope that Reaves and Tiero will return to the club soon. Reaves was going through full-contact activities, so he is getting closer to return to the floor.
“We talked a lot earlier in the season about his leadership and he’s been very engaged during this time he’s been out. He’s the connective tissue for us on the floor and we’re all looking forward to having him back,” Lakers coach JJ Redick said of Reaves, per the New York Post.
The Lakers and Cavaliers play on Wednesday at 7:00 ET. Cleveland enters Wednesday’s game 28-20.
