Austin Reaves drops 29 points to Thunder

Los Angeles The Lakers were up against the defending champions Oklahoma City Thunder, and they saw firsthand why they were able to lift the trophy last season. It was a 121-92 loss for the Lakers, and they just couldn’t keep up with the Thunder on both sides of the ball. It started in the second quarter, and from there the Lakers had no answer.
after the game Austin Reaves shared his thoughts at a loss and was completely honest about what happened.
“To be honest, they beat us tonight,” Reaves said. “There’s a lot of basketball to be played. We feel like we can get to that level, but we weren’t even close to it tonight. We feel like we can get there. We’ve got the stuff to get there, we just have to keep going every day to take a step forward.”
“It’s game 12. There’s a lot of basketball to be played and a lot of room to grow.”

Reaves was asked where he thinks the gap between the two teams is, whether it’s execution, style of play or something else.
“I didn’t play very well. We didn’t play very well as a team,” Reaves said. “I think if you walk around the room, everybody would think that. If you don’t play well against a team like that, you’re not going to give yourself a chance to win. You have to be clicking on all cylinders, lock down every little detail, and when you don’t play well, you’re not going to beat them.”
The Lakers have played well this season, but have had some tough losses. As Reaves said, there’s still a lot of basketball to be played, and they’re still figuring out how to match up with the new pieces they added during the offseason. not to mention LeBron James has yet to playand he might be back soon.
