Bam Adebayo trolls Jimmy Butler after the win over the Warriors

Wednesday night, The Miami Heat have improved to 9-6 in the young 2025-26 NBA season with a comfortable home win over the Golden State Warriors. Golden State essentially threw in the towel on this game from the jump, sitting Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler in his second return game for Miami.
While Butler’s run in Miami featured some iconic moments and two NBA Finals, it ended in an ugly fashion, after Butler claimed his joy had disappeared, ultimately resulting in a trade to the Warriors.
After Wednesday’s game, the Heat center Bam Adebayo did some elite trolling Butler in the locker room after the game.
(according to Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press on X, formerly Twitter).
The Heat as a whole haven’t been great since Butler left, losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round last year in the most unusual playoff series in NBA history.
However, they’ve looked decent so far in 2025-26, at least in their home games, and Erik Spoelstra has taken steps to modernize the NBA’s prehistoric offense by shooting more threes and playing with more tempo.
Adebayo himself has turned into a competent shooter from beyond the arc while retaining the defensive versatility and presence on the rim that made him such a special player to begin with.
At 9-6, the Heat are firmly in the thick of things in the Eastern Conference playoff picture at this early point in the season, and as some of their younger players continue to step up, it’s not out of the question that they could make a run for one of the higher seeds in the conference, depending on how things go with other teams.
The Heat will next take the floor Friday night against the Chicago Bulls in a rematch of the last three years between the two teams.
