The Warriors find themselves outside of contender status with little buzz. His attitude relied on fun and fitness, not fantasy. A pairing of LeBron and Stephen Curry would instantly rebuild Golden State, while Butler could step into a cleaner role alongside Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves in Los Angeles.
Why the idea got attention
Logistics do not block the conversation. James is making $52.6 million this season. Butler checks in at $54.1 million. That math works without filler parts or depth losses.
