Billy Donovan credits “disruptive” Tre Jones for victory over Cavs

on wednesday Chicago Bulls secured a much-needed 127-111 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. The night in which Josh Giddei carved his name into the same sentence as Michael Jordan.
Besides Giddei’s sixth triple-double (23 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists), there was another player who caught the coach’s eye Billy Donovan. After the game, he heaps of praise on The Three Joneses because he is a “disruptive” presence, especially defensively with steals.
Overall, Jones finished with a complete. He had 11 points, 11 assists and three steals. Right now, Jones is averaging about two to three steals per game.
“He’s disruptive, Donovan said. “I think the thing about him about steals is he picks them up early before they happen. He shoots into the void, there he is. He’s the only guy for us that shoots in the gap and generates some steals.”

With the win, the Bulls are now 11-15. On Thursday, they will head to Cleveland for a rubber match. After that, the Bulls will take on the Atlanta Hawks on the road on December 23rd, before returning home to face the Philadelphia 76ers on December 26th.
In addition to Jones and Giddy, other Bulls players were also productive. Kobe White scored 25 points and grabbed five rebounds. Nikola Vucevic scored 20 points and had nine rebounds. Isaac Okoro scored 12 points playing against his former team.
Kevin Huerter added 11 points, Zach Collins 10, and Matas Buzelis 9 points.
Tre Jones was brought to Chicago for a reason.
During the summer, Taurus signed Jones to a three-year, $24 million contract. He previously played for the San Antonio Spurs.
Basically, Jones joined the Bulls to help their defensive game, which has struggled and still struggles in different ways. Jones is a superb defender on the ball and plays with great determination.
There is still a lot of work to be done in that area, but Jones represents progress.
